POPULAR RESTAURANT READYING LOCATION IN LACENTERRA AT CINCO RANCH
KATY, Texas – The popular D’Amico’s Italian Market Café, a 16-year-old mainstay of Rice Village, is heading west to Katy, Texas, for its second location. Owners Nash D’Amico and Brina D’Amico Donaldson and Larry Martin and Edgar Carlson of HUSA Management, Inc. have announced that they are readying a 193-seat restaurant space in the Phase II portion of the expanding LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.
The stunning new restaurant sits on the edge of one of the development’s landscaped common areas and directly overlooks Central Green, an outdoor public park. A 68-seat patio will border Central Green Park. The restaurant will serve up the same favorite foods and operate the unique Italian specialty market that have made the original location so successful, and it also will offer a full bar and space for private events.
The new Katy D’Amico’s will officially open its doors for dinner in the first week of October then will also open for lunch beginning October 16. The family-run restaurant’s appeal fits nicely with those who want more of a community atmosphere in otherwise high-growth areas. As it proved in Rice Village, D’Amico’s is a perfect fit in neighborhood-driven areas where familiarity, personal service and casual dining are both expected and appreciated. In fact, other expansion locations are being considered in the suburbs of Houston.
The original D’Amico’s Italian Market Café opened 16 years ago at 5510 Morningside in Rice Village. It offers a combination of full-service Italian restaurant, Italian deli and Italian market. As diners indulge in authentic and innovative Southern Italian cuisine, other customers shop shelves filled with imported olive oils, canned Italian specialties and imported treats or peruse the deli’s meats, desserts, fresh pastas and cheeses. D’Amico’s Italian Market Café has become known as Houston’s own Little Italy.
